CRPD holds national dialoque on the 2024 Draft Constitution

The Center for Research and Policy Development (CRPD) in partnership with the West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (WADEMOS) on Tuesday held a daylong national townhall for citizens engagement on the 2024 Draft Constitution, with the Theme “strengthening democratic governance through inclusive constitution dialoque”.



The event is part of the Center for Research and Policy Development (CRPD) ongoing national engagement on the 2024 Draft Constitution. The event held at the Bakadagi Hotel in Kotu, brought together civil society organizations, religious leaders and people from different walks of life to device strategies for the adoption of the 2024 Draft Constitution.



Marr Nyang, the Executive Director of Gambia Participates delve into the importance of a constitution geared towards promoting good governance and accountability. Sait Matty jow, the Executive Director of Center for Research and Policy Development underscored the importance of the event. 



“The National townhall dialoque on the 2024 Draft Constitution is aimed at amplifying citizen voices to take part in the democratic processes.. Gambian citizens wants a new constitution that will represent their voices through democratic processes.”.
