The Secretary General and Party Leader of the National People’s Party (NPP), His Excellency Adama Barrow, congratulates Bettlomy Colly, NPP Councillor-elect for Half-Die Ward by-election, Mr. Ousman Abou Wadda, NPP Regional Chairman, and the entire Banjul NPP committee members at all levels, as well as the youth and elders of Banjul for voting in the NPP candidate in the just-concluded Half-Die Ward by-election.
The absolute majority of votes secured in favour of our candidate is a clear indication and demonstration of the trust and confidence Banjul and Gambians continue to place in the National People’s Party.
The NPP has always expressed delight at the level of gratitude, love, and loyalty the people of Banjul have shown toward the President and the NPP-led government.
This appreciation stems from the billions of Dalasi invested in road, sewage, and drainage rehabilitation projects, which are nearing completion. Additionally, a multi-million Dalasi Half-Die football pitch rehabilitation project is set to commence soon.
President Adama Barrow wishes to seize this opportunity to reassure all Gambians that his infrastructural development agenda will continue to benefit each and every Gambian.
This victory is not just a win for the NPP but a triumph for development, democracy, good governance, and the rule of law. It is, indeed, a good omen for the 2026 presidential election, as we anticipate nothing short of a landslide victory.
Thank you, Half-Die! Thank you, Banjul! Thank you, Gambia!
