The UDP urges the government to take practical and immediate measures to alleviate the burden on ordinary citizens.”the release stated.

The party expressed concern on the persistent corruption and lack of transparency within the government, further stating that these issues undermine public trust and hinder meaningful progress.

“With the season of Ramadan for Muslims and Lent for Christians the UDP appeals for compassion from the government towards struggling households.” the release added.

The party further highlights the growing fear within communities due to rising crime rates and lack of safety. “The authorities need to prioritize effective and community-based strategies while ensuring transparency and accountability in law enforcement.”.
