Police Investigates Fire At Brikama Sandika Market

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Momodou Sowe, joined fellow security chiefs in the early hours of Friday to assess the damage caused by a fire outbreak at Brikama “Sandika” Market on January 31, 2025. The blaze destroyed numerous stalls and goods, though no casualties were reported.
The police will investigate the incident to determine the cause and recommend preventive measures.
Among the high-ranking officials present were Interior Minister Abdoulie Sanyang, National Security Adviser Abubacarr Sulayman Jeng, Brikama Area Council Chairman Yankuba Darboe, other security chiefs, and senior central and local government officials.
